We stock brass sheets ready to engrave and have a range of genuine brass screws to perfectly complement your brass plaques and plates.

Uses

Your text or graphics is engraved into the brass’s surface, creating recessed areas that can be colour filled to produce a high contrast engraving. For a more subtle engraved effect, the engraving can be left bare.

The plaques can be cut to a custom shape, square, rectangle, circle or oval. We can supply genuine brass screws.

Brass colour filling

Most common request is to engrave and colour fill text and graphics in black and then apply a brush pattern finish with a clear lacquer coat.

We can colour fill your engraved brass job in multiple colours and also apply a polished brass finish.

 

Finishes

Brushed brass finish

Brushed (linish ) pattern, this is the most common finish customers request. The finish has a more matte finish compared to a polished brass.

Polished brass finish

This produces a bright and shiny finish. Some minor imperfections / blemishes may still show.

Mirror brass finish

For mirror finish brass you will need to find a specialist finisher.

Clear lacquer

Protective clear coat with either a satin finish or gloss finish.

Engraving

Your text and graphics are engraved into the metal’s surface, creating recessed areas. These can be left bare for a subtle, elegant look, or colour filled, most often with black paint, for a bold, high-contrast finish.

Plaques can be custom-cut into virtually any shape, including square, rectangle, circle, or oval, and can be supplied with genuine brass screws for a perfect match.

The Outcome was Stunning

I looked long and hard to find a company that could prepare a high quality brass plaque suitable to recognise a substantial bequest to the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia. And The Engraving Crew exceeded expectations. Tomas and Janice did a lovely job against a tight timeline. Initially however, we found that in the low light of the place we display the plaque the engraved letters were a little hard to read.
